Waiting for me, Uncle Sam.

I wish I can go to America next year, continuing my research, broaden my horizon, learning some experimental skills and knowing more about the world and China.

English Corner, TOEFL, Paper readings...

That's what I am doing now, preparing for the coming future.

My English is still poor. I can not explain myself fluently without taking a think for about several minutes. I'll keep practising instead of give up.

Waiting for me, Uncle Sam.

The Last Episode of LOST

After watching the last episode of LOST, I fell into deep thinking.

It's a complicated, instructing and amazing story. It set people thinking.

In my opinion, the story wants to tell us people all over the world that most of us are lost, lost in the "realistic" world. We think that this world is our whole world and after we die, there is nothing. So some people try to get something he want by all means, some people do bad things to achieve their goals without repenting.

We are lost.

In the ending of the story, some lines impress me very much. It tells us that after we die, we are not leaving. We are moving on in another life and this life must be much longer than the one in which we think we are "alive". The "life" we lived is just for us to remember, and then let go.

It's about bible. It's impressive.

Maybe I will talk about it with Herbert on Sunday night.

Mark Twain

Tonight I want to talk about Mark Twain, a well known American author and humorist. Most of the students in China read some of his articles translated in Chinese such as Running for Governor in our textbook.

There is something from Wikipedia that I want to share with you.

Mark Twain is noted for his novels Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, first published in 1885 and has been called “the Great American Novel”. The book is noted for its colorful description of people and places along the Mississippi River. Satirizing a Southern antebellum society that was already out of date by the time the work was published.

He was not only fascinated with writing but also with science and scientific inquiry. And he even patented three inventions.

Twain was very popular, and his keen wit and incisive satire earned praise from critics and peers. Upon his death he was lauded as the "greatest American humorist of his age".

Thank you.

Nice Talking to Chris

I met with Chris, a foreign postgraduate student of our department, when I was waiting for the bus back to school. We have a nice talk in the bus and I know he is from Mauritius, he can speak his mother language and English and French, he speak Chinese quite well although he just learn it for about one year.

We students of the same boss had dinner together. During the dinner, we recalled that there are two foreign friends in our department. And then we decided that maybe next time we'll invite them to have dinner with us. I told Chris about it, and he said they'll be very happy to come with us.

After several times participating in the English Corner, I feel free to speak English now. I'm not feeling awkward any more. Maybe it is because I have build up my confidence about my speaking English. It's a good sign but a long way to go.

I'll talk about Mark Twain in the English Corner Next Sunday night. And it'll take me about one hour to prepare for the taking. But I feel good and I'd like to do it. It's a good way to force me to spend some time on English studying and to learn more about English.

I have several foreign friends now. Herbert, David, and Chris. It's great. I enjoy talking to them in English.

Thanks to Dr. Jimmy. He's the man who brought me out of the "feeling awkward to speak out in English" thing.

Thank you so much.

I have been an assistant teacher of students' management last September. We have a concert tonight to let every assistant teacher talk about his/her work this year. And according to the presentation, we'll pick out two person who got his/her work done better and they'll have to give a presentation in the South Campus of our university. To my surprise, I am one of the two. I feel a little uncomfortable about it because I don't think I am qualified for it, but still happy.

It's a good day today.

P.S I have got my book USMLE Fist Aid several days ago which is bought from Amazon.com.

My Sneezes

My nose is allergic to something in the world which I havn't actualy find out yet. According to my experience, they may be cold air, ashes in the air, mites,  pollen and pungent odor et al.

I sneeze a lots when I meet with something that my nose is allergic to. I make a loud voice when I sneeze. Sometime  my terrible sneezes will scare someone around me. I feel very sorry about that, but I can not control its happening.

The weird thing is that I feel comfortable when sneezing. But after that comes the nasal mucus and makes me feel rotten.

The air with dirty ashes here in the city may be the most important reason of my scary sneeze. What if I go abroad?

And, I am sneezing now.

Forgive me.

About Library

I like studying in library.

When I was serving as an intern in The  Second People's Hospital in Shenzhen which is now The First Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University, I frequently went to the library preparing the Graduate Candidate Test.

It is a fantastic library I had ever been to execpt its some kind of noisiness. Library, in my opinion, is a place for people to calm down and focus on what he's doing. That's the reason why I love to come to library.

The library of Jinan University is awsome too. I love here because of its bright light, comfortable air-conditioning, beauties, free wireless internet, smelless drinking  water, clean washrooms, and peace and quiet. The cantee of the university near the library is also suitable for me so far.

I love this place and I'll spend a lot of time here searching literature, writting my paper, thinking what to do next in the near future.

It is so lucky that I could find this place near my hospital after I left school.

Have a good time!
